Six worksheets aimed at learning about the correct punctuation of singular and plural possessive nouns. The worksheets cover a variety of difficulty levels and are all accompanied by answer sheets.
The sheets cover the following:
✽ Identifying whether sentences should or shouldn’t have apostrophes
✽ Identifying singular possession, plural possession and contractions
✽ Adding the missing apostrophes to each sentence with a mixture of singular and plural possession
✽ Writing the possessive form of singular and regular plural nouns
✽ Writing the possessive form of singular and irregular plural nouns
✽ Identifying if the apostrophe has been place accurately and making corrections where necessary
The worksheets can be completed independently or in pairs.
Different formats of possessive nouns are given as examples, including:
• Singular possession with one item being possessed
• Singular possession with more than one item being possessed
• Regular plural possession with one item being possessed
• Regular plural possession with more than one item being possessed
• Irregular plural possession with one item being possessed

Contractions which are often confused with possession are also covered.

The WAGOLL contains a conversation between Hogarth and his parents after he first sees the Iron Man. It is based on a part of the story containing no direct speech. A feature find sheet and an extract from The Iron Man are also included.
